======Adding Money to Your Venmo Balance====== At this time, only Venmo users who have been approved for a Venmo Mastercard® Debit Card have the option to add money from a verified bank account directly to their Venmo balance. If you haven’t already, add a bank account to your Venmo profile and verify it. I have a Venmo Debit Card. How can I add money to my Venmo balance? You can add money to your Venmo balance in the app. Go to the “Me” tab and tap “Manage Balance” at the top of your personal transactions feed. Then, follow these steps to initiate your transfer: Enter the amount you’d like to transfer,* and tap “Next” Confirm the bank account you’d like to transfer money from, review the transfer information and estimated arrival date, and then tap “Add {amount of transfer} now” Once you do this, there is no way to cancel your transfer. Remember: You don’t need to have money in your Venmo account to make payments to other Venmo users. You can fund payments to other Venmo users using a linked funding source. Additionally, Venmo users who have completed the required identity verification by applying for the Venmo Debit Card or Setting Up Direct Deposit may be eligible to use the Cash a Check service within the app. When I add money, how long does it take for the funds to reach my Venmo balance? Standard Add Money transfers typically take 3-5 business days to reach your Venmo balance, and the funds from that transfer won’t be available until it completes. There are a few important things to keep in mind about these transfers: The timing of your transfer can be impacted by several factors, such as weekends or holidays You may see a completed charge in your bank account while the transfer is processing and before those funds reach your Venmo account You can check the status of your transfer in the Venmo app in your personal transactions feed under the "Me" tab If the money doesn’t arrive in your Venmo account after 5 business days, please contact Venmo Support. Transfers are reviewed, which may result in delays or funds being frozen or removed from your Venmo account. Learn more about Reviews of Transfers Into and Out of Venmo. =====Why don’t I see the ability to add money in my Venmo app?===== At this time, only users who have applied for and received a Venmo Debit Card have the ability to add money to their Venmo balance manually. Learn more about applying for the Venmo Debit Card. Keep in mind that you don’t need to add money to your Venmo balance to pay friends or businesses in the app. Can I add money to my Venmo account at a store or bank? At this time, the only way to add money to your Venmo account is in the Venmo app. We don’t currently have a way to add physical cash onto your Venmo account. Is there an “Instant Transfer” equivalent for adding money to my Venmo account? Learn more about Instant Add Money. Can I cancel my transfer to my Venmo balance? It is not possible to cancel a transfer to your Venmo balance after it is initiated. The Venmo Support team cannot cancel this type of transfer. Instead, if you change your mind after initiating a transfer to your Venmo balance, you can transfer it back to your bank once it completes. What if the transfer to my Venmo balance fails? Transfers can fail for a variety of reasons. If your transfer to your Venmo balance fails, you will be notified via email, and the funds will not move from your bank to your Venmo balance. *Are there any limits to how much money I can add to my Venmo balance? There is a $1,500.00 weekly rolling limit on transferring funds into your Venmo balance. A transaction counts against your weekly rolling limit for exactly one week following the time of the transaction. For example, if you add money to your Venmo balance on a Monday at 11 AM, then at exactly 11:01 AM the following Monday, that transaction will no longer count against your limit.
